Kevin gets the first guest post this month. You can see some of his other work over at Krapart.com

Bonus points for anyone who can tell me where the name for this fellow comes from.

October is here, and so are the Monster Stickynotes! Enjoy the month-long celebration of all things Halloween, and don’t eat any razor-laced caramel apples.

Summer is winding down, fall is on the way in, and Stickynote Theatre’s favorite holiday is almost upon us…
HALLOWEEN!
October will be Monster Month again around here, so I’m calling on any artists out there to submit your Stickynote Monsters any time between now and October 31st. Your monster will be posted sometime during October.
We had some great submissions last year, so I’d love to see us out-do it with a ton of great mini-monsters. So, let’s see what kind of creeps and crawlers you can come up with!
And this is a special callout to all former guest artists of Stickynote Theatre! If you’ve ever had a sticky posted here before, we’d love to see some new work from you in the form of a Stickynote Monster!
Remember, it’s easy to submit your stickynote drawings. Just draw a monster or something Halloween-ish (…and yes, that’s right…on a stickynote…), scan or photograph…and email them to stickynotetheatre AT hotmail DOT com

Kevin from over at Krapart.com sent these in a looooooong time ago, and I just found them sitting in my inbox the other day! He’s also sent in a monster sketch that will appear next month for the big monster bash. Stay tuned…
I have bunch of mini-stickynotes at work now. They’re kinda fun to draw on, like drawing a thumbnail-sized pic. I thought about doing a flipbook-style animation, but right now I’m too lazy.

WHO did WHAT?!?

My wife got me a little dude for the office cube. He says a bunch of little phrases when you squeeze him. Helps keep me from dozing off sometimes.
Then she drew me a picture of it one night. Awwwww.

Sadly, this is pretty much me on an hourly basis…
Here’s the final sticky Anne sent me a while back. I hope she’s forgiven me for overlooking these for so long!
By the way, Anne seems to have a fascination with hotdogs. She’s submitted stickynotes featuring them before…
Here’s another great drawing from the talented Ms. Anne Tai. This one feature a couple of her “Squires” in a verbal sparring match debating, apparently, who’s the pinkest. In case you don’t know or didn’t realize (and correct me if I’m wrong, Anne), but her Squires are caricatures of the members of the band Nine Inch Nails…you know, only one of the greatest bands to ever exist.
